European Union: Deal or No Deal

Organisation sometimes has to deal with certain situation that needs fresh adjustment more than ever. In this situation principles of organisation containing the basic value of national interest, vision and mission would be helpful to review as guidance for change if there is any to be concerned.  To begin with consideration for change, generally economy is as primary reason to preserve. As economy is the backbone of the nation and welfare where the nation to build for, the reference of leaders to economic regime have paramount role in determining organisation ahead.

Economic development through international trade as instrument to create welfare originally was proposed by Adam Smith in 1776 in his book An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations.  Adam Smith was born in United Kingdom and it was almost certain that his concept soon gaining popularity at the time trade began to grow across boarder. After all, trade among nations was purely to meet economic reason and the migration was not an issue or created issue.

Today regional economic development needs cooperation. Europe is the region consists of countries respectively have their own characteristic and legacy. With 28 members of state working on singular system in economy and politic, it was not an easy job to accomplish.  The different history and characteristic of member state stand out as stepping stone in an effort to pass common policy moving smoothly, as if 'deal or no deal' negotiation. In reality after unification, trade among member countries essentially has increased and European Union has prominent role in international stage. Having had such significant development achievement, the legacy of Adams Smith welfare state thesis and the effectiveness of being united to the world stage should not be put aside for roadmapping the future of the Union.

Who Will Challenge Google?

When I was doing business my competitor entered the same sector as I have, I was unhappy even if they just doing in a plan. Business competition has never been friendly and fierce competition is as usual business. That is natural and so the way competitor doing what they think profitable.

In 2013, Google Inc. released that Google has over 1 billion active Android users while at the same time Android application of 71% was created by mobile developers. Android mobiles get remarkable response from mobile phone users, the market enthusiasm as Apple usually gets from the IPhone lovers. Since then, the traditional welcoming party of Apple was taken over by his competitor.

Having seen such marvellous development in mobile operating system, Apple tempted to planning its own search engine, not as direct attack probably. Some position opens to recruit search engine programmers in his website on ‘Cult of Mac’ but there is no official disclose from the company concerning Apple search whether for commercial or Apple application on its own.

The Future of Organic Foods

I was doing a little research by asking to my customers when I opened a stall in school canteen. How do you taste food? I said that it’s not originally from crab claw it just makes up like crab claw. 'It doesn’t matter but it’s nice', she answered. Some adult people sometimes ask me as well with the same question if food is original (organic) but when she knows it’s made up I got the same response ‘it doesn’t matter it’s nice’. Some food researchers must know more than what I know. Their seriousness was emerging in the new building of venture Redwood City in Silicon Valley, US (Economist, March 7th 2015).

What the most interesting for some researchers in dealing with foods is health issues and costly processing products. Those are two things as the most concern of people today. If we try to find and browse what is organic food we would find it in different category which is almost difficult to find organic foods without using chemical for better result. And that could be the reason an enterprise in Silicon Valley was built by entrepreneur with a multi-million dollar investment to do research and try to produce healthy foods without compromise.

 The World after Obama

The period of President Barack Obama in office is positively can be described as the absent of Pre-Emptive Strike Policy. Pre-Emptive Strike Policy often used falsely by some emerging countries as strategy to detain suspect without trial. Pre-Emptive strike as strategy is more than deterrent, because it gets involved more actively than deterrent even the aim is the same to deter enemy from achieving their goal. Some strategists might define Pre-Emptive Strike as deterrent if so than deterrent come in many ways either military weapon or strategy, tangible or intangible. What interestingly to perceive is when people outside the US more likely welcome Obama’s strategy in handling issues, the local tends to be objection by saying the strategy is coming from ‘lame duck’.

Many American public think that the US foreign policy is less responsive enough to the countries chaotic regime. There are two major issues should be addressed and as always achieved unsatisfied result during negotiation. First is Iran nuclear plant and the second is Iraq and Syria regime upheaval. However, recently unprecedented astounding moment was taken place when US negotiators successfully convinced government of Iran to reduce to some extent of nuclear enrichment. While in Iraq and Syria, US involvement is limited to send military advisers to train Iraqis soldiers with slightly risk of being trapped in war and as alternative instead of sending ground force. Those two major issues would be perceived with different view by candidate of presidential election for the next round whom since early opposed the way Obama administration handling international issues. As a consequence the world may experience open new chapter if not seeing US sending ground force.

Let's Put ISIS into Perspective

Since the early days of religion came down to earth they bring new concept on human life and the way people should be doing. Meanwhile on the other side, the ruler the only authority which has power to reign, feeling uncomfortable and challenged by the present of religion messenger. The messenger also the only authority who has the sole interpretation, and there is no difficulty in delivering messages in facing with the people queries. However, once the messenger did not more show up in public, the difference in dealing with government and social issues began to vary which may bring into civil war.  Some of them keep distant with the ruler while the others it won’t be matter to be working with them.

The first one used to be called as hardliner and the rest is moderate group. In term of hardliner, the West prefer to call them as extremist while in school of thought Muslim they don’t have terminology of extremist because they deem extremist is an interest group with their specific agenda. Muslim world only refers to school of thought like Wahabi and Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. One is conservative and the other moderate group herewith they never meet single conclusion on many things. In other words, it is essentially could be simplified into two school of thought that is conservative and moderate. In term of ruling the world of Muslim and united them into one, single unity that is only discourse. As mention above that interpretation of two groups is never be the same for good even they have the same Book.

The Second Term US Foreign Policy.

Since President Barack Obama in power the US intervention overseas did not aimed at regime change. US intervention direction to Middle East has become ‘let them solve their problem’ model. Europe has almost been paid the same attention since Obama Administration still struggle to deal with their economy and there is no second Marshal Plan.

Whilst in Asia Obama highlights China development closely if China’s market penetration makes good impact on US soil. It looks the reason that China uninterested with Barack Obama re-election.  In term of his second term Dutch Weller describes Obama’s job would be hard due to internal division.

Obama might be saying that the world stability is pre condition for development. However, as German pointed out that internal condition could hinder outward looking policy and if  Obama’s homework put heavy on handling home issues and there would be no significant change expected from his foreign policy.

Gun Control: Free or Limited Possession?

The gunshot news in Sandy Hook Elementary School December 14, 2012 was spreading just in time on Breaking News this morning. The tragedy reminds people in The United States on how weapon regulation should be putting in place. Mostly the countries were in passion to pass the law on private arms possession however until this shooting happens some people were not sure if the regulation could prevent the horror back on the street.

The case seems to never be ending as both sides have their own determination. Free possession to hold the gun as personal protection is individual right whilst the others argue that they have paid tax to protect them from violence and thus The State have in duty, not individual.
