ISIS’s Watching Out the Fall
of Iran
The
atmosphere of Iran politic seems never be empty of protest and upheaval since
the end of Ayatollah Khomeini’s rule. Despite the internal factor as driving force
such as inflation and rising prices, the government tends to point out to the external
factor. Somehow that the Iran regime has drawn attention from ISIS and the West
with opposite of agenda. Abas Aslani a visiting scholar at the Center
for Middle East Strategic Studies Istanbul-based said that ISIS and any other separatists’
movement will take advantage of any unrest in the country. Some analysts thought that
even ISIS defeated by Allies led by the US but the rise of ISIS is very likely as Iran chaos under ISIS radar to
step in. An analyst with the online
International Review, Séamus Malekafzali believed that ISIS waiting for the
right time to sneak into the chaos country and establish a foothold in the
porous, mountainous badlands between Iran and its neighbours and America would
not be able to defeat that group. (PA01/NW/20/Dec/2019)
