US Army Would Be Like T-1000 Terminator Character in The Near Future

Researchers at Army, Texas A&M have developed a material capable of autonomously healing itself. The polymeric materials have stimuli-responsive expected to be able to perform shape shifting character like T-1000 Terminator in the movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Dr. Frank Gardea, aerospace engineer of the project for the Army’s Combat Capabilities Development Command’s Army Research laboratory said that the epoxy material has embedded intelligence to allow the material reconfigure exponentially. The system planted in the material contains of structure, sensing and the response, he added. Along with the innovation, researchers at the University of Buffalo and Army scientists developed to support shape shifting material in relation with autonomously healing by creating a lightweight plastic considered 14 times stronger and eight times lighter than steel that ideal for absorbing the impact of bullets and other projectiles. Get Ready to Clone Yourself with a 3D-Printed Figure!

Photography might soon be less desirable when it comes to record a moment in time as you are now able to create a photo-realistic 3 D printed replica of yourself and family. Dusseldorf-based Doob-3D successfully integrated 3D imaging, software, modelling and printing to produce 3D-printed clones. You only need to walk into the 3D scanner which is an octagon-shaped booth with 54 digital cameras and it will capture from head to toes to produce a 360-degree image in a flash. The printing process takes about 18 hours and you can expect the final physical product similar as sculpture in Madame Tussauds. (TI01/FN/02/Feb/2020)

Bosch Developed Vehicle Safety Technology to Alert Drowsy Drivers

Bosch, the German technology company provides drowsy and distracted drivers with monitoring system to keep them awake while driving. The monitoring system uses camera and artificial intelligent to detect drivers’ condition along the way if he is fatigue or distracted from any objects then the system alert him to break or to reduce the speed of the vehicle. The alarm can be set up with options like sound, light, slowing down or vibrating steering wheel. The technology will become mandatory as driving safety standards in European vehicles as of 2022. Google AI Detects Cancer More Accurate Than Doctor

AI capability in reading tens of thousands of mammograms from women in the United Kingdom and the United States produced more accurate detection than human radiologists. The collaboration between Google and cancer researchers result in minimum false to detect cancer which indicate negative or positive symptoms. According to Cancer Research UK Imperial Centre director, Professor Ara Darzi, the collaboration produces impressive result which is unexpected before because if the disease detected, breast cancer might be treated early. The presence of AI causes nearly 2,000 radiologists would be closed in 2023, a report says. (TI01/CB/3/Jan/2020)

Airbus Takes Over Boeing as the World’s Largest Aircraft Industry

Airbus delivery order 863 jet planes rose 7,9 % from 800 in 2018 has surpassed Boeing for the first time since 2011. The crisis of Being 737 Max lead to increasing Airbus order of jet plane market. However, Airbus struggle to finish after thousands of workers divert to fit complex cabin included 640 single-aisle aircraft and cancelled holidays to have their cabin adjusted. The fitting complex cabins raised problem for workers resulted in Airbus unable to benefit from Boeing’s 737 MAX disruption. Over the years Airbus postpone production on Christmas and New Year but to meet the Asian flight to fly new jet the company set out delivery on schedule. (OP01/RE/2/Jan/2020)
