The 70th United Nations General Debate


The world leaders are delivering speech at the 70th United Nations General Debate in New York on 28 September - 3 October 2015. They have their own stressing point to address on regional and global issues related with currents issues on security, military cooperation, economic sanction etc. The prominent members who draw much attention from audience as usually President Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, China’s Xi Jinping, Iran’s Hassan Rouhani and France’s Francois Hollande.

The United States President, Barack Obama:  The US intends to bring an end the four- year Syrian war by embracing Russia and Iran without involvement of President Assad. Obama said that Assad incapable in responding to public protest and unable to bring peace in his own country which cause people outflow to other countries.

Vladimir Putin: Moscow supports Syrian government as long ally in the Middle East with providing military equipment to help fight ISIS. He said that Russian will evaluate the threat facing the Middle East and criticized response of some countries about Crimea annexation with sanctions. Putin also complain about NATO expansion lead to the crises in Ukraine.    

Hassan Rouhani: Iran never has intention to produce nuclear weapon and Iran should never have been imposed sanction accordingly. Iran intends to bring democracy in Syria and Yemen and cooperate with countries to fight against terrorism.  

François Hollande: He underlines that the main cause of people outflow from Syria is incapability Assad Regime to bring peace in his country lead to people scared to live in their own country. Saudi Kingdom in Shadows of a Coup


One of the senior royal family members reportedly urged to change the country’s leader, King Salman.  The unprecedented call for a change came after tragedy of Stampede in the holy city during the hajj and the collapse of crane at the Grand Mosque in Mecca killing around 1,000 people within a month. The disasters raised concern over capability of the King in managing safety of holy city during the hajj. Since the tragedy members of the royal family intend to hold meeting soon to discuss management of the holy city and replace the King Salman. (PA01/IN/28/Sep/15)

Google’s Android Business is Under Investigation


Google is being accused of blocking competitor service on Android mobile operating system. The Federal Trade Commission will investigate whether pre-installed on Android phone could harm fair competition. Professor of law at the University of Leeds, Pinar Ackman said that consumers supposed to have choice of installing application onto their devices and then there is no reason for violation. Russia is Preparing to Launch Strike against Islamic State 


Vladimir Putin says Russia is preparing for unilateral air strike against ISIL unless the United States accept his proposal for joining forces. The US demanded proposal to include transitional power in Syria government without Assad involvement but Moscow preferred to launch strike while US restrains to respond. Moody Rates Malaysia and South Africa in Junk Status


Following Brazil in junk status, Moody rates Malaysia and South Africa in the same status. The other developing countries in the same position including Saudi Arabia, China, Chile and Peru. A strategist at Stockholm SEB, Hammarlund said that emerging countries which depends on commodity trading downgraded their credit risk as commodity price fall sharply. One Minute Battery Charger Will be in Market 2017


Mobile phone will need to charge only 1 minute when StoreDot markets their battery charger product in 2017. Battery capacity is for about 2,000 charges, four times better than today products. But one minute charge filled up about half energy than usual battery do. For full energy is available in version 5 minutes battery charger. Volkswagen Scandal May Cause German Economy in Trouble


The biggest Germany's car makers, Volkswagen is being accused of cheating on emission tests by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and could face fine US$18 billion, a number that could wipe out the 2014 company profit. VW developed special technology that enables vehicles to be clean and green and reduced manufacturing cost. Nick Clegg sees The Scottish National Party looking for second chance an independent Scotland when Britain exit from EU. The EU referendum will be held before the end of 2017 after mounting pressure on Prime Minister David Cameron from his internal party. Rebels Consolidate with Gulf Arab Militias as Russian Entering Battlefield   


Syrian war may escalate soon as Russian forces with advanced weaponry targeting Syrian rebels. In an interview with Reuters journalist, rebels revealed that they would have severe war in Assad stronghold city as Russian soldiers back government forces against them. Rebels predicted the war could be similar with Afghanistan war and they have to think to take the same strategy to defeat Russia. In anticipation of longer war, rebels call for more support from militias in neighbouring countries. Essentially the complicated war started since Assad government has support from Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah militias to fight against rebels while on the other side US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar backing insurgents. Launching Spacecraft into Space Using Microwaves


Researchers at Escape Dynamics, Colorado planned to push spacecraft into space with microwaves instead of using rocket.  ED builds thruster on the ground to beam aircraft which carry hydrogen to push spacecraft into space. The microwaves on the ground would hit the shield of the aircraft bottom and would heat hydrogen as it’s coming out from a tank then push space craft into space. Eastern European Leaders in Mix Response Facing Syrian Migrants


Syrians influx into Europe recoded as the biggest migration in modern Europe at the time when ultranationalist begin emerging in Europe. How Europe handling the biggest human movement in history? It’s almost certain every country facing them with mix response between agree and disagree to accept them to land in their respective countries. There are issues accompanied with these migrations ranging from border security, humanity, sovereignty, religion come together make it difficult to decide. Mostly Eastern European countries much worry than the West which more prosperous. They have their own argument.      

Hungary: The right-wing government of Viktor Orban argues that Christian Europe value needs to defend from Muslim migrants. Therefore they disagree with Croatia sending migrants to their country. There were about 8,000 migrants had arrived from Croatia on Friday.

Hiding Object with Simple Structured Components


Bad guys would be hiding and harder to find. That’s not what scientists aimed at, certainly. But researchers at the University of Rochester develop start-up model for hiding objects. The system of cloaking is to cover objects around with light waves make them becoming invisible.  A professor of physics at the University of Rochester, John Howell and his student Joseph Choi, develop simple structure with four lenses to hide object from being seen even the viewer standing from different sides. Terahertz Waves Enable Deliver Data Hundred Times Faster than Today’s Wi-Fi Networks 


Terahertz waves system similar with a fiber optic technology capable to carry multiple TV channels and thousands of phone calls at the same time.  Researchers from Brown University developed terahertz waves to replace microwaves which todays cellular and Wi-Fi depend on. London is to Replace Underground Trains with Sidewalks Moving

 
Sidewalks moving was proposed by NBB architecture firm to the City of London. The proposal was under consideration to replace subway system with a system of moving sidewalks. The project is welcomed by some Londoners as futuristic vehicle called ‘travelators’. The system would remove existing trains and track but the ticketing system and fares are mostly unaffected. Russia Concerned Over Possible Military Collision.

Moscow blamed Washington for not building military to military communication since Ukraine crisis. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow was sending equipment and military personnel to help Assad fight ISIL. While US questioned Russia presence in Syria along with a squadron of ships and sending advanced SA-22 anti-aircraft missiles because ISIL fighters were not equipped with aircraft. Both Russia and US was using Syrian airspace at the same time with no communication among them raised concern over possible unintended incidents. Germany Issues Warning on Russian’s Presence in Syria.

Germany warns Russia that Western countries opposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Russia presence in Syria may bring situation worse. While Germany in an effort to bring an end four-year Syrian war, France and Britain are strengthening military forces to fight against ISIL. Eric Schultz, White House spokesman said US welcome Russian contribution to counter ISIL however he doesn’t agree on Russian effort to support Assad Regime. Russian support to Assad Regime has been known by US in few days as two tank landing ships and cargo aircraft with some infantry forces landed in Syria. Morgan Stanley Suggests to Buying at European Stocks Market.

Morgan Stanley claimed that market timing indicators (MTIs) send signal to buy since the crises downgraded European stocks market. Analysts said that MTIs has double-digit upside over coming months. Amazon is to Release US$ 50 Tablet.

The cheapest price of its variant sold at US$99 with 6-inch screen and mono speaker included.  The online retailer is also to release Amazon Fire 8-inch and 10-inch. According to reliable sources, Amazon Fire tablets show advertisements as screen savers, but it was not clear if the new 6-inch tablet's cost included ads. In an effort to strengthen its position, the company hires 86 artificial intelligence experts. By using artificial intelligence it would help devices understand users’ experience such as favourite sports team or specific time when they want to leave for appointment. G20 Agreed Economic Growth Will Not Rely on Low Interest.

The leaders of the world's 20 biggest economies (Saturday Sep 5, 2015) agreed to raise interest to boost economic growth especially for advanced economies.  Lagarde supposed that some governments have relied too long on low interest rate accompanied with central banks loose monetary policy. However, G20 leaders suggest to evading excessive moves as some emerging market still concern with China economy slowdown and the near US interest rise. US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew expected China to be more market oriented in determining exchange rate. Russia Planned to Deploy Troops in Syria.

US keeps an eye on Russia after reported by UK and Israel media planned to send military aid to support Bashar Al Assad’s Regime. Josh Earnest, the Whitehouse spokesperson said that Russian support to Assad Regime whether in the form of weaponry or funding could be destabilizing and counterproductive to the region. In response to the report, Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman denied that Russia would send troops however he confirmed that cooperation between Moscow and Assad regime continued as consistent process.  While in his statement, chief of Russian Airborne Troops said that Moscow is ready to send troops to help Syria counter terrorism. The DICE Mobile Application is Enable Users to Load Content  Without Network Connection.  

DICE (the Disconnected Interactive Content Explorer) application is to help users in area where internet connectivity is unavailable. NGA (The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency) Mobile Apps team developed DICE initially to provide Search and Rescue Team to provide interactive content whether connected or disconnected from a network. Devices and Everyday Objects Could Communicate to Each Other Without Power Source.

By setting up smart sensor attached in any building with distant 6.5 miles away from TV or cellular transmission, two devices could send messages to each other. The researchers named the technique as ‘ambient backscatter’ which takes advantage of TV signal surrounding us instead of using battery. Everyday object’s like keys were left could send signal to users phone about where they are.  Smart sensor could be placed in a bridge to monitor and alert about the health of bridge all the time.
